An AMAZING start to 2017! 4 Hospice Beds for the Sea to Sky Corridor

10 years in the making the dream of Squamish Hospice Society to have Hospice Palliative Care Beds in Squamish to service Sea to Sky residents is coming true! Today MLA Jordon Sturdy announced on behalf of the Ministry of Health and with Vancouver Coastal Health a $400,000.00 grant to kick start the 1.74 million dollar fundraising campaign which will see 4 end of life care beds in Squamish. Squamish Hospice Society is charged with raising the capital costs of the new facility and we are ready to take on this challenge. Motivated by the fact that Vancouver Coastal Health has agreed to fund the ongoing operational costs of the new hospice unit and by the wave of community support over the past 10 years we know we can make this dream a reality for the planned 2018 opening. Please stay tuned here to find out more about our progress and ways you can help make this dream a reality. Chief Newspaper article here
